Ann Whittington reported on her last match as Match Captain and the last match this year which was v Suffolk played at Diss Golf Club. This was a rearranged date as our original was scheduled to be played at the end of the Covid lockdown but still prior to any hospitality arrangements. The match, however, was put under question with the fuel crisis but all players assured me they would manage to complete the return journey. The forecast was again predicting rainfall. We were used to that by now and, although waterproofs were donned, spirits were not dampened!!! 5 x 4 ball matches were played. Pippa Holliday, the Norfolk Veteran Ladies' President, was present to see us all off. The course is better played with local knowledge as there are several holes with blind greens. Norfolk won 3-2. Hospitality provided by the club was very acceptable and enjoyed by all. Thanks go to all the ladies who have played and supported me throughout this year........great camaraderie and team spirit. Match Captain Ann Whittington reported as follows: Norfolk's second home match in two years was played at Sheringham Golf Club ............another coastal course with spectacular views.............dare I even consider a day of sunshine??? The forecast was predicting rainfall. However, we were pleasantly delighted that most of the deluge was out at sea, creating the most amazing dramatic backdrop to the views...........quite stunning! Spirits were not dampened and 8 x 4ball matches were played. Pippa Holliday, Norfolk's Ladies' President, was present on the first tee to see us off. The course was in excellent condition, the rough still punishing should you be unfortunate to enter. The visitors were not fazed though, and Lincolnshire won 5/3. Hospitality provided by SGC was first class - a great two course meal, followed by tea/coffee was enjoyed by all. All players were complimentary and Lincolnshire's Match Captain thanked me for organising the day at such a splendid venue.

Match Captain Ann Whittington reported: "Norfolk's first home match in two years was played at Royal Cromer Golf Club.......a day at the seaside.......sadly the sun didn't shine, in fact it reminded us of a dull October day........not how I had planned! However, our spirits were not dampened and 6 x 4Ball matches were played. The rough was extremely challenging.....long wispy grass, which looked so pretty, swallowed up many golf balls and was difficult to play out from. The visitors struggled. Norfolk won 5/1...... quite a resounding victory. Hospitality provided by Royal Cromer was excellent - a great two course meal followed by tea/coffee after play was appreciated by all. Thank you to all my team who played."

Match Captain Ann Whittington reported that the match with Cambs & Hunts was most enjoyable on a warm sunny day. The match was played at The Links, Newmarket and 5 x 4 ball matches were played. We were well looked after by the indoor staff, who provided us with tea/coffee on arrival and a good two course meal after play. The course was quite tricky, with the rough extremely abundant and challenging. Sadly we lost to the better side, the result being 4/1 in favour of Cambs & Hunts. As always the matches were played in good team spirit.
