Our Autumn Greensome Stableford and AGM were held at Thetford Golf Club on 16th October 2014. Competitions Secretary Pippa Holliday reported that 108 players started the competition which was played in good spirits and lovely weather against the glorious colour of Thetford Golf Club. The day was extremely well supported by the Club Representative Judy Whitcombe, Ladies’ Captain Liz Robinson and several club members. Without their help the day would not have gone so smoothly. The lunch was excellent value for money, was well received by the players and efficiently dealt with by the catering staff. Pippa thanked our Chairman and Thetford member, Molly Izzard, for compiling all the results, and Helen Ayres for the Powerpoint presentation.

AUTUMN AMAM AT DUNSTON HALL ON 17th SEPTEMBER 2014 Maureen reported that our 2014 AmAm was held at Dunston Hall on Wednesday 17th September. It was a cool, misty day which brightened up around lunchtime – a day to benefit the later teams. 120 ladies from 20 clubs took part. The two tee start limited the number of teams which means unfortunately that there was a small waiting list. The format was teams of four, two stableford scores to count on each hole with all four counting on the par 3s. Two nearest the pins and two longest drives catered for the handicap bands 0-20 and 21-36. Dunston Hall was a very welcoming and hospitable venue. The Vets rep Lynda Love and Match Captain Sue Hill had everything in hand and even the Vets flag was flying – well it tried but, as can be seen from the photo below, there wasn’t a lot of wind that day!
