Competition Secretary, Pippa Holliday, reported that 106 players from 19 clubs across the county supported the competition. The course at Costessey Park was very well presented and the newly constructed holes, together with the unfavourable weather, made the course both long and challenging. The hospitality was managed efficiently and the food of soup, sandwiches and chips, well received by all players on a cold and wet day. Sincere thanks go to Sheila Glenn (Vets rep) and her team of helpers for ensuring the day went smoothly. The raffle was generously supported with £151 earmarked for Norfolk Junior Girls. Norfolk Junior Girls donated two porcelain dishes to be presented to the winning pair on the day.

The winners of the Championship – Silver & Bronze Divisions held at King's Lynn Golf Club on 16th June 2016. Pippa Holliday reported that 99 ladies from 21 clubs throughout the county played in the competition: 45 in the Silver Division and 54 in the Bronze Division. 62 players entered the Gwen Watts Salver Over 65 competition which ran alongside the Championships. The day was well supported by the Ladies’ Captain and her team of helpers including the starters, Caldecott’s Club and Seniors Captains. Without their help the day would not have gone so smoothly.
